What happens if you forgot to cut your hair after Umrah?

It is obligatory to shave and trim the hair if they are equal to one fingertip. If you don’t do this, you will not turn halal (a state, which is free from Ihram). Such pilgrims, who forget to cut their hair or shave their heads after Umrah, are required to slaughter a sheep to atone for it and distribute its meat to the needy.
