الرحمٰن الرحیم
الرحمٰن الرحیم means rehmat (blessings). It is from the arabic word رحم (rehm) which means the womb of a mother that is a safe shelter for the baby. Inside the womb, all the needs of the baby are fulfilled. There the baby is in the complete affection of the mother. In the same way, the (rehmat) blessings of Allah cover people with love and care. In arabic language, the words ending with ن are specifically used for strong emphasis but its for the time being. That's why the word rehman holds so much love, so much care, extreme rehmat (blessings) but this rehmant is for the time being (temporary). Whereas the word Raheem holds rehmat that is forever. In the ayat, where الرحمٰن الرحیم are present together, Allah tells us that his rehmat (blessing) is neverending, it's for now and forever.
