According to many scholars, if a person who wears Ihram clothing (Muhrim) rubs any part of his body with pure oil or vinegar, he should slaughter a goat in expiation.
However, the point of view of some scholars is that if a Muhrim uses unscented oil on his head or beard, he must slaughter a goat, but if he uses it on any other part of his body, there is no penalty.
