People frequently wrongly believe that they are going to stone the devil when they reach Jamarat. This deed is also known as the “Stoning of Satan” by some people. However, this is not at all the case.
There is no devil among the Jamarat. The only act of worship that we should perform in remembrance of the Prophets Ibrahim (A.S) and Ismail (A.S). Ibrahim (A.S) threw stones at the devil when he was trying to mislead the Prophet of Allah.
